John Snyder

John Snyder grew up surrounded by the music echoing though the urban canyons of Greenwich Village in New York City. WIth beatnik parents and an extended family of folk and jazz musicians, John absorbed the sounds and culture of the music world. He has spent his life listening to and cultivating his ear for music of all varieties, developing an especially keen ear for jazz. An amateur trumpet player himself, John has formed relationships with many prominent and up and coming musicians, and in 2021 joined Laudable Productions as our Jazz Programmer. He has also had a successful career as an academic pediatrician and medical educator in New York City, moving to the Pioneer Valley in 2010 when he became the Medical Director of the pediatric training clinic at Baystate Children’s Hospital in Springfield, MA. He is currently a practicing pediatrician in Amherst, MA.
