Note: Due to the daunting weather forecast for Saturday, all Main Stage performances scheduled for the Commons have been moved to Chapin Auditorium at Mount Holyoke College. (THANK YOU MHC!) The only exception is the Bombyx Brass Collective who will perform at Center Church, and the School of Contemporary Dance and Thought who will perform at Chapin. All scheduled times remain unchanged.
The town of South Hadley will host its very first Showcase South Hadley festival, a two-day cultural extravaganza celebrating the town's diverse talents and cultural offerings. Live music at locations around town include the Harlem Gospel Travelers, Young@Heart Chorus, and over a dozen other groups ranging from jazz to folk to rock to classical and beyond. Cultural activities include an Artisan Village, puppet making, face painting, a chance to stargaze at Mount Holyoke's observatory and more. There's a Banned Books Brunch and a Jazz Brunch. Have a look at the schedule for the complete line-up.
Showcase South Hadley is made possible with the generous support of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Town of South Hadley, the South Hadley Cultural Council, as well as contributions from local businesses and individuals, in collaboration with MASH (Music and Arts South Hadley).
