Respected around the world for her music and activism, Holly Near has been one of the most powerful, consistent, and outspoken singers of our time. Her music fully engages listeners in the world around them – speaking to anyone who believes in peace, justice, feminism and the wide spectrum of humanity. During her 50+ year career in folk and protest music, Near has worked with fellow activist artists including Ronnie Gilbert, Pete Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, Mercedes Sosa, Bernice Johnson Reagon (Sweet Honey in the Rock), Joan Baez, Phil Ochs, and Harry Belafonte.
