The group’s March 2 performance will be their most diverse and interesting yet, featuring a potpourri of arrangers and conductors from within the ensemble. The concert will open with the stirring and iconic "Fanfare for a Common Man" by Aaron Copeland, followed by BBC hornist, Lucy Colwell, featured in the Haydn Horn Concerto. Also included on the program will be "Pictures at an Exhibition" (Mussorgsky), arranged and conducted by BBC trombonist Mark Turcotte; James Taylor’s "Shed a Little Light", arranged and conducted by BBC trumpet player Will Choe; Robert Russell Bennett’s "Suite of Old American Dances", arranged by BBC friend Jerry Lawson; and more.
As always, admission to the ensembles’ performances is free of charge, but donations are always gratefully accepted, with all proceeds going to support future programming and advocacy in the community.
