Heart of the Valley Chorus, an affiliate of Sweet Adelines International, is an auditioned all women’s voices a cappella choir that has been entertaining throughout the Connecticut River Valley for over 40 years. Their membership spans the Valley with members from Springfield, Longmeadow, Holyoke, Easthampton, Hadley, South Hadley, Leeds and Florence. Singing a variety of music: Jazz, Broadway, Contemporary and Inspirational, all in 4 part barbershop style, their performances remind us that music adds something special to our lives.

The members have fun working hard to improve their singing skills and strengthen the craft of barbershop. Passionate about sharing their music with the community and reaching out to ensure inclusivity for their audiences, their main goal is to have fun and produce high quality harmonies. Their intergenerational circle of singers provides rich opportunities for inspiration, guidance, leadership and friendship. They are teachers, nurses, retirees, homemakers, counselors and more. Ranging in age from 20’s to 70’s they love to sing, laugh, love, and learn music.
