A star several thousand light-years away, known as Eta Carinae, shines millions of times brighter than the star at the center of our own solar system. Much more proximate to us earthlings is a band named after this star, Carinae (pronounced ka-REE-nay). Their first show was in 2013 at a house in Hadley where a few of the members lived. They’ve released four albums. The band splits vocals between Calvin Parent and keyboardist, guitarist and songwriter Kasey Greene. The rhythm section is Gabriel Camerano on drums and Nina Kent on bass.
